Yo Gabba Gabba WHAT!?

August 21, 2007

My 3 year old has a new obsession, and to be honest I am not sure how all this happened. It seems as if Nick Jr. has been doing some cross promotion on some other stations which must of been really enticing for a 3 year old because she went around the house one day yelling “Yo Gabba Yo Gabba!”. For the life of me I couldn’t understand what she was referring to until one day I saw an advertisement at the end of a show we had on the DVR.

SO I decide to record the 2nd episode and this is what we get…..

BTW Yes, that is Elijah Wood and my daughter will NOT stop doing the puppermaster! (Frightening, I know!) I am planning on video taping this for another blog….LOL

I’ve been blagged by the lovely Jen over at One Moms World, and for those of you who are not up with your blogging lingo a blag = blog tag ;) Kindda cute I must say.

Anywho Jen chose 8 careers shes had in her lifetime and that works for me so here goes.

1. Cashier at Tarjay - Thats right, my very first job was a cashier at Target, I was 15. I got the big promotion 3 months later to Skedaddles Cashier. For those of you who can’t remember that far back that was Target’s “original” Food Avenue. I was fired a few months later for being lazy and flirting with the cart boy Joey.

2. Hostess at Hops - Since I got fired at Target and needed money to buy a car since I turned 16 I walked on over to Hops Bar & Brewery and applied for a hostess job. Luckily the manager thought I was cute and hired me on the spot. ;) I actually lasted at Hops for 2 years until I went to college.

3. Cashier at Eckerds Pharmacy- When I was at Florida State I got the urge to become a Pharmacist and thought I’d get a taste of it by working in the Pharmacy at Eckerds. This was great and all and I even trained to become a Pharmacy Tech, but for whatever reason this didn’t work out. This part of college was kindda fuzzy to me, go figure.

4. Server at TGI Friday’s - Well since Pharmacy school didn’t work out and I needed some fast cash I pumped up my resume and applied to TGI Friday’s. Not really much to say about this place except the fact that I met my husband here. At the time he was a bartender and I remember having the biggest crush on him…those we some fun times ;) Hehe…

5. Recreational Factory Warehouse Employee - You know, the pool/spa place? A friend of mine who worked here as a sales guy desperately needed someone to answer the phones and I gave it a whirl. Unfortunately the pool business was not for me and I quit within a week.

6. Internet Marketing/Direct Sales - I have been working from home for the past 4 years part time building and managing websites. I was “seriously” in direct sales for 2 years but currently I am doing more IM stuff.

7. Telephany Engineer - Little known fact is that I am currently an engineer for the big “V” designing the routes for FIOS in apartment complexes and condos. This is the “smartest” job I’ll ever have and I have a love hate relationship with it. I am very lucky to have this job, especially because I do still get to work from home with an occasional visit to a job site. However it is tedious, stressful, and drives me crazy, however it pays pretty well, and I set my own schedule. Been at this one for 2 1/2 years.

8. Mommy - The best job I have ever, and will ever have ;)

Whew…that took awhile!

Ok, your turn. Here are the rules:

  • Each player starts with eight random facts or habits about his or her self.
  • These blagged chosen ones are to write posts on their own blog about these eight facts.
  • They are also to post these rules.
  • At the end of their blog they will list eight people they have chosen to blag by listing their name and a link to their blog.

I Blag Nell, Wendy, Angela, Michelle, Dawn, Karen, Laura, and KC

You lucky ducks :)

No More Golfballs!

A little rant for today. Don’t cha just love the face I’m making?! ;)
