Are you the Epic Star?

Calling all singers, dancers, musicians and entertainers- The Norwegian Epic is looking for you!

Today, Norwegian Cruise Line announced a new video contest, Search for the Epic Star, to celebrate the the launch of Norwegian’s largest and most exciting ship to date.

Norwegian is searching for talented entertainers to perform on board the ship during her inaugural festivities, July 2-4, 2010, in New York .

The contest is being hosted on USA TODAY’s website, www.epicstar.usatoday.com, and talented performers can enter starting today- Friday, March 12, 2010.

If you think your talent is EPIC enough for the Norwegian Epic, submit a video (1 minute or less) by April 25th, 2010.

The contest is open to singers, musicians, dancers, jugglers, comics, rappers and more in groups of one to four performers. Must be 21 years of age or older and reside in the U.S. or Canada.

An esteemed panel of judges will select 8 semi-finalists whose videos will be displayed on USA TODAY’s Cruise Log throughout May. Public voting runs from June 1st-13th on www.cruiselog.usatoday.com. Two finalist and a grand prize winner will each receive the opportunity to attend Norwegian Epic’s inaugural in New York , July 2-4, 2010. Grand prize winner will also get the chance to perform during the inaugural cruise as well as a 7 day Caribbean cruise on the Epic during it’s first year.
