GiGi- The Little Black Dress of Swimsuits: Review & Giveaway (Ended)

Summer is quickly approaching and what is not to love about that? The sun is shining, there are vacations to plan, trips to the beach and…swimsuit shopping! One of the most dreaded summertime traditions for me and I would assume, most other moms. There is no quicker way to become more self conscious about your body then to try on 50 swimsuits and still not find the one that’s “just right”.

This was the case for me until I found GiGi- the “little black dress” swimsuit.

I received a black GiGi swimsuit to try and I LOVE IT! I’m finding that this is my go-to swim suit. I feel like it enhances my good features and minimizes the ones I don’t like. It makes going to the pool less of a hassle.

The suit is designed with the woman’s body in mind and there are 6 reasons that make it so special-

Fabric – GiGi fabric is imported from Spain and has a higher nylon content making it super soft and stretchy- you’ll notice the difference.

Four-Way Stretch – Most swimwear is made of 2-way stretch which can make you look wider. Not GiGi! 4-way stretch makes you appear taller and moves fluidly with your body.

Style - GiGi’s top is halter style, which is super-flattering on most women. I know that this is my favorite style that gives me a more lean look. I found the top supportive enough and adjustable to suit most women. However, I’m not sure this style would work on a woman with a very large chest.

Lining - The lining is GiGi’s secret weapon. Made from the same luxurious fabric as the rest of the suit, it gives the suit an all around smoother look.

Ruching - The ruching on the side helps hide those tummy flaws! The ruching can be adjusted to give you your most flattering look. I can definitely see this feature in action.

Elastic & Thread – GiGi has special stretchy thread that is chlorine and salt resistant.
