Whenever I think my daughter is about to grow out traditional girls toys, replacing them with video & computer games, she surprises me with a request for a new toy she has either seen on TV or in store.
One of her new must have toys for Christmas is the Deluxe Light Up Flutterbye™ Fairy. My daughter's arguments for NEEDING this little fairy is that "She lights up!" and "Really Flies".
I remember having a similar toy, that didn't light up, when I was a kid, so I went to Walmart.com to check this little fairy out for myself. Sure enough, the Rainbow Deluxe Light Up Flutterbye™ Fairy really does light up and fly.
By pressing the button on her decorative base, Flutterbye™ Fairy will magically lift off into fairy flight. She flies higher or lower depending on hand movement, and her dress glows in a rainbow of colors as it spins ...even I had to admit, it's pretty cool!
The "WOW" moment for this toy is definetely the fact that the Flutterbye™ Fairy actually flies, and movement is controlled by the palm of your hand. I'm not 100% sure how she actually works, but it's a lot more advanced than the flying fairy toy I had where I pulled the string and she went up and back down again!
I have a feeling that a lot of little girls will have Rainbow Light Up Flutterbye™ Fairy on their wish lists this Christmas ... and an equal number of parents who want to play with the toy themselves 😉
