To celebrate Earth Day, we decided to plant some seeds together as a family.
After careful consideration at our local Target, I found it more economical to buy ready made kits that come with a planter, seeds, and soil rather than buying everything separate.
I also realized it is cheaper to buy plants that are already growing rather than planting seeds from scratch, but that takes away the fun I guess.
We purchased 2 kits – Strawberries and Sunflowers, as well a tomato plant.

We also planted some special Tinkerbell impatiens that we received at the 2009 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival.

After our seeds were planted we took them outside for some sunshine.

Hopefully soon these babies will start to grow.
Happy Earth Day!

OMG – how funny, we did the same thing weeks ago. No strawberries yet, but the sunflowers are beginning to grow now.
