As I posted today on Traveling Mamas, Free Dining is back at Disney World. This does not come without a few changes.
The 1st being if you book a value resort you get the quick-service plan instead of the regular dining plan, which was offered in previous years.
All meals are per person, per day for the length of stay.
- 2 Quick-Service Meals
- 2 Snacks
- 1 refillable resort mug (per person)
If you still want to stay at a value and have the regular dining plan there will be an upgrade cost of $10 per person per day for adults, and $2 a day for the kids (3-9).
Quick-service may be a better bet for those booking for a stay in the near future as many character meals and prime dining spots are already booked. You can check Disney Dining availability at DisneyWorld.com/Dining.
If you book a moderate, deluxe or villa resort you will still receive the regular Disney Dining Plan.
- 1 Table Service Meal
- 1 Quick-Service Meal
- 1 Snack
The other change is a 2-day Magic Your Way base ticket is now required versus the previous 1-day base ticket. As I mentioned on TM, this really only affects passholders (me!) since most out of towner’s are not passholders and need tickets. This just makes the package a little more expensive for annual or season passholders. The 2-day Magic Your Way base tickets are upgradeable and have no expiration date.
Since free dining was released a little later this year, you’ll want to book now as resorts, and more importantly dining reservations, will be filling up fast.
Book now through August 14th for travel August 15-October 2, 2010 (Can someone say EPCOT FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL…squee!)
