I’m going to let you in on one of my biggest secrets for staying healthy: Probiotics. To make my layered Kefir ice pops, you only need a few ingredients. Here’s the full recipe:
Layered Kefir Ice Pops Recipe
What's needed:
- 2 different flavors of Lifeway Kefir – I used Raspberry and Blueberry
- a handful of fresh fruit, chopped - I used raspberries
- Ice pop mold
Directions:
- Place a few pieces of chopped fruit into the bottom of ice pop mold.
- Pour 1st flavor of Lifeway Kefir in mold until ⅓ full.
- Set in freezer for 10-15 minutes, until a thin layer of ice has formed.
- Add 2nd flavor of Lifeway Kefir until ⅔ full.
- Repeat step 1, adding fruit pieces and remaining Lifeway Kefir, adding ice pop stick to mold.
- Freeze for 2 hours, or until ready to serve.
You can't really tell from the photo that the pops are layered because both flavors of Lifeway Kefir are light in color, but once you start to eat the ice pop you can definitely tell the difference in flavor. My daughter actually loves to eat one of these layered Kefir ice pops for breakfast, which is great because she's starting out the day with a healthy dose of probiotics!
