Libby’s Jumbo Fruit Cups

Last month Libby’s sent us a sampling of their new 6-ounce Jumbo Fruit Cups to try.

I have to admit, of the 8 cups they sent to us, I ate more than half. The new jumbo cups while great for children, are just as adult friendly.

I like to freeze my fruit cups and have them as a snack on a hot day, or for dessert anytime. The larger size gives me a just the right amount of fruit…in fact there is 50% more than the average 4 oz cup.

Libby’s came up with the Fruitification of America™. It’s a great concept to get more healthy fruits into the bodies of children and adults. By providing these super sized cups, you are giving your child an extra boost of nutrients and the fruit they need to stay healthy.

Now that my daughter is back in school, I  sent the remaining 2  cups with her as the “healthy snack” of the day. Its nice to know she has a good amount of fruit and nutrition (contains 3/4 of a cup of fruit juice) to get her through the day.

If your child likes their fruit cups cold (like I do) I highly recommend freezing them the night before. The frozen fruit cup will thaw out by snack or lunch time, and also will keep other lunch items cold.

Libby’s Jumbo Fruit Cups come in 4 yummy varieties: Diced Peaches, Diced Pears, Mixed Fruit and Cherry Mixed Fruit. All fruit is grown in California.

Another great feature of the jumbo fruit cups is their durability. Each 6-ounce cup is sturdier and easier to open resulting in less spillage. Also, the thickness of the new cups prevents leaks and other mishaps that can occur in backpacks, purses and brief cases!

Libby’s Jumbo Cups will hit stores in September.
