Just 7 days until my trip to Quebec City and I have it in hand!
It was quite a process to get this baby in such a short time. I would not recommend waiting until the last minute as I did. However, if you need a passport quickly and are traveling within 14 days you can make an appointment at one of the 18 US Regional Passport Agencies. I had to travel to Miami and it was not fun.
The good news is I got my passport the same day as I applied. Bad news is it cost me a small fortune.
Now I can travel the world

Totally had to do that with my infant son. It was quite the experience!!! I feel your pain to the wallet too.
