We recently got to test one of the new Sesame Street Building Sets from K’NEX.
Our building set was of the lovable Bert & Ernie. My daughter couldn’t wait to get this toy out of the box! In fact she played all afternoon and into the evening. First making the Bert & Ernie characters, and then making up her own creations using the extra pieces.
These new building sets are perfect for toddlers and little ones ages 2-5. Each set comes with chunky Kid K’NEX rods, connectors, and blocks along with activity cards showing how to build the characters.
There are 4 different sets to choose from:

$10.99 sets featuring Elmo, Ernie, Cookie Monster, and Oscar the Grouch (one character per set). These sets contain 14-16 pieces.
$14.99 sets feature Super Grover or Abby Cadabby. Contains 30 pieces.
$21.99 sets contain either Elmo’s World or Bert & Ernie (as pictured). These sets have 46 pieces.
$31.99 set is the ultimate Sesame Street building experience featuring Cookie Monster & Hooper’s Store. 80 piece set.
It was nice to see a building toy from the K’NEX brand for younger aged children. Often times toddlers get bored with blocks and your basic building play sets. These Sesame Street Building Sets provide building fun with the characters your children know and love.
* You can WIN your very own K’NEX Sesame Street Canister Building Set*
You will get one entry for leaving a comment on this post with your own Sesame Street memory (or favorite character), and a second chance for commenting here. Please leave your email address so we can contact you if you are the winner!
Contest ends Wednesday October 8th at 11:59pm eastern time.
Good Luck!

My favourite memory is my 2yr old sitting on Cookie Monsters knee at Sesame Place earlier this year. The sets look like fun!
My favorite character is Cookie Monster…well and Snuffleupagus (only because of his name…I could never say it) I remember watching Sesame Street as a child. My boys love watching it too, their favorite character is Cookie Monster!
I loved Grover growing up. I also remember the Ladybug picnic. I lived close to my gradeschool growing up, so I’d walk home for lunch and watch Sesame Street. Of course my girls love Elmo!
Seseme Street was my favorite show when I was growing up. I remember coming home from school and turning on the tv to watch the show. Cookie Monster was definitely my favorite character. I loved the way he talked.
I always loved Oscar, his moodiness always made me laugh!
These look so fun! I’ve always like Grover!
I had a Sesame Street 45 record player and all the seasame street records. I loved them. To this day, “sing” is my favorite song and I sing it to my baby boy all the time.
I loved Snuffleupagus as a child!
I loved Cookie Monster. I also still can sing the Theme Song!
As a kid, my favorite was Snuffleupagus, though I have no idea why.
I loved Big Bird and Snuffy. I still remember a neighbor taking us to see Sesame Street Live. It was so much fun to see the show come to life. A real treat at our house with seven kids.
Big Bird is the best!
I love Snuffles!
My 2 girls and I love dancing around to the music each morning.. their favorite song is Elmo’s World!!
K’NEX are a great building material that allows my daughter to use her creativity! Shoe loves them, and NO MESS like playdoh.
My favorite character is Cookie monster, and we love to sing the Apples and Bananas song withthe vowels!
Elmo is my son’s favorite. Although he can’t say many words yet, he can always call out ELMO and he loves the Tickle ME Elmo.
My 2 year old loves Elmo. He calls his name whenever he sees him. He has just started to build things and would love this set.
My son LOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEESSSS elmo he sings all his songs and watches him all the time! he would love a set of these to play with!!!
My favorite character as a child was Cookie Monster. I called myself cookie monster because I LOVED cookies (still do!). My kids love Elmo, but Cookie will alwaysa have a place in my heart!
Wow these are super cute and I just know that my son would love the cookie monster set! I will definately have to take a closer look when we go down the toy sections! Thanks
Gotta love sweet and sensitive Big Bird.
I loved the two-headed monster who sounded out the words. I actually learned how to sound things out by watching the two heads fight back and forth!

I agree! Yay for K’NEX for bringing out a product for younger children. I’ll be looking for this when I’m Christmas shopping this year.
