K’NEX Sesame Street Building Set Review

by admin on September 30, 2008

We recently got to test one of the new Sesame Street Building Sets from K’NEX.

Our building set was of the lovable Bert & Ernie. My daughter couldn’t wait to get this toy out of the box! In fact she played all afternoon and into the evening. First making the Bert & Ernie characters, and then making up her own creations using the extra pieces.

These new building sets are perfect for toddlers and little ones ages 2-5. Each set comes with chunky Kid K’NEX rods, connectors, and blocks along with activity cards showing how to build the characters.

There are 4 different sets to choose from:

$10.99 sets featuring Elmo, Ernie, Cookie Monster, and Oscar the Grouch (one character per set). These sets contain 14-16 pieces.

$14.99 sets feature Super Grover or Abby Cadabby. Contains 30 pieces.

$21.99 sets contain either Elmo’s World or Bert & Ernie (as pictured). These sets have 46 pieces.

$31.99 set is the ultimate Sesame Street building experience featuring Cookie Monster & Hooper’s Store. 80 piece set.

It was nice to see a building toy from the K’NEX brand for younger aged children. Often times toddlers get bored with blocks and your basic building play sets. These Sesame Street Building Sets provide building fun with the characters your children know and love.

My favorite character is Cookie Monster…well and Snuffleupagus (only because of his name…I could never say it) I remember watching Sesame Street as a child. My boys love watching it too, their favorite character is Cookie Monster!

I loved Grover growing up. I also remember the Ladybug picnic. I lived close to my gradeschool growing up, so I’d walk home for lunch and watch Sesame Street. Of course my girls love Elmo!

Seseme Street was my favorite show when I was growing up. I remember coming home from school and turning on the tv to watch the show. Cookie Monster was definitely my favorite character. I loved the way he talked.

I had a Sesame Street 45 record player and all the seasame street records. I loved them. To this day, “sing” is my favorite song and I sing it to my baby boy all the time.

I loved Big Bird and Snuffy. I still remember a neighbor taking us to see Sesame Street Live. It was so much fun to see the show come to life. A real treat at our house with seven kids.

I agree! Yay for K’NEX for bringing out a product for younger children. I’ll be looking for this when I’m Christmas shopping this year.
