Thinking outside the bottle

Recently I have started to really love wine. It used to be I would only drink wine on occasion and it had to be white, preferably a Pinot Grigio. My taste buds must have changed because I am all over reds now and I am loving Pinot Noir, but can drink any kind without making funny faces.

I am by no means a wine connoisseur, and can only afford the cheap stuff- but I know what I like, and have found some notable affordable wines.

One of my current favorites is called French Rabbit.

French Rabbit stood out on the grocery shelf aisle like a sore thumb, and I love that. It comes in an eco-friendly container with a twist off cap! I suppose its the classier version of wine in the box.

One of my favorite things about French Rabbit (besides the great flavor, screw off cap, and shatterproof container) is that it comes in 2 sizes. 500 mL and 1 L. 1 L is your usual wine bottle size, and 500 mL is a half bottle.

The half bottle is like a juice box for grownups.

Ok, I didn’t really drink it with a straw, but doesn’t it look like a juice box?

This design is great for a few reasons.

- The TetraPak container is very eco-friendly and has 90% less packaging than a traditional glass wine bottle.

- A 1 L also contains an extra 2 glasses of wine due to the decreased packaging size.

- The box is collapsible.

- Easy to store

- Easy to travel with – Yes, I bring my wine on vacation with me (saves a ton of money).

Plus this stuff is affordable! The 500 mL cost me $4.99, and the 1 L is $9.99.

If you love wine, French Rabbit is definitely worth a try!

Please note that French Rabbit did not pay me, or give me free wine to post this…but if they’d like to send me free wine, that would be good too.
