Top Chef Season 5 = FAIL

I feel like I just wasted 15 hours of my life by watching Top Chef this season. With Hosea winning the season finale and being crowned Top Chef 5, this show gives me no hope and I guess anyone can be a Top Chef…maybe I should try out next season?

In my mind Hosea works in a Red Lobster somewhere in Colorado…I mean he couldn’t even properly fillet a fish back in one of the quick fire challenges…and remember when he decided to use canned crab meat rather than fresh in another challenge? How does this constitute a Top Chef? I might of been too nice with the Red Lobster assumption, maybe he is executive Chef at LJS. I mean really, how many good seafood restaurants could there be in Colorado anyway?

Even if you hated Stephan, you cannot deny he was the clear winner throughout the competition winning the most quick fire, and elimination challenges.  I really don’t understand why they don’t factor this into the judging of the last challenge. It would have been an easy win for Stephan. (and I thought that dessert looked delicious…Really Gail? from the 80′s? I mean seriously could your boobs have been falling out of your dress even more? )

I did have high hopes for Carla, and I am sad she listened to her sous Chef (who clearly lost her season of Top Chef for good reason) instead of making the food that got her there in the first place.

Who should have been in the Top 3? Stephan, Fabio, and Jamie. Now that would have been a real competition with any one of them being a winner.

Oh, and what about those judges? Really, Rocco Dispirito? Could they not have gotten anyone else? Really.

FAIL FAIL FAIL
