Grandma's Molasses Crinkle Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups Bob’s Red Mill Organic All Purpose Baking Flour
  • ¾ cup margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda
  • ½ tablespoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
  2. 2. Chill dough.
  3. 3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  4. 4. Roll dough into balls the size of large walnuts.
  5. 5. Dip tops in sugar.
  6. 6. Place sugar side up, 3” apart on greased baking sheet.
  7. 7. Sprinkle each cookie with 2-3 drops of water to produce a crackled surface.
  8. 8. Bake just until set but not hard, about 10-12 minutes.
