Your Shape Challenge: An Update & Healthy Snacks #yourshape

The past few weeks my participation in the Your Shape Challenge has been less than I anticipated.  Since I’ve been away, it’s been nearly impossible to do the Your Shape Wii workout consistently. The good news is I have been making up for it by walking….everywhere! My weight has stayed about the same, 141 lbs, with a little fluctuation from week to week.

At first I thought the reason I wasn’t losing was because of my my diet. While I still believe there is room for improvement,  I am beginning to think I need to step up my workout intensity. I definitely sweat in the half-hour Your Shape workouts, but I’m wondering if it’s enough? I am thinking I might need to actually get outside and have a good run in addition to doing the Your Shape Wii workouts. I need to shock my body with something.

Last week, Walmart was nice enough to send each of the Your Shape Challengers a $100 gift card to buy some healthy snacks.

I bought grapefruit, bananas, apples, pears, spinach (to make smoothies) and yogurt. I also got some snack food items like Kashi bars, cereal, Klondike 100 calorie bars and some pickles- what a great snack for only 5 calories!

I am hoping these snacks will give me the pick-me-up I need to get back on track and start losing weight for the last 5 weeks of the challenge.

Smoothies always pick me up. A great selection of snacks you have chosen.
