Kit Kat Halloween Graveyard Cake Recipe

Course Dessert
Author Stefanie Fauquet

Ingredients

  • 1 box devil's food cake mix prepared as directed
  • 1 tub green frosting
  • 1 tub orange frosting
  • Kit Kat® Bars I alternated between Kit Kat® Halloween and Kit Kat® Triple Chocolate
  • Hershey's Candy Corn Bars Reese's Pieces, Hershey's Cookie 'n' Creme Tombstone Bars and Reese's Nutrageous Bars to decorate.

Instructions

  1. Bake devil's food cake as directed in a round pan - I used 8" size. Let cool on parchment paper set on a cookie rack.
  2. Frost the sides of the cake with orange icing, and then the top of the cake with green icing.
  3. Place Kit Kat® Bars around the perimeter of the cake, alternate colors if you wish.
  4. Gently place the cake on a rack in the refrigerator to set for 1 hour, or until ready to decorate.
  5. Use additionally Hershey candy to make graveyard scene. I used Reese's Nutrageous Bars as a pathway lined with Reese's Pieces and Hershey's Candy Corn Bars and Hershey's Cookie 'n' Creme Bars to resemble tombstones. I also used black candy gel to write RIP on Hershey's Cookie 'n' Creme Tombstone Bars.
  6. Chill until ready to serve.
