Cinnamon Swirl Bread Recipe

Bread Mix:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Cinnamon Swirl:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tsp cinnamon


  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp milk


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine the flour, 1 cup sugar, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
  3. In a seperare bowl, mix together buttermilk, egg and oil. Stir into flour mixture until blended.
  4. Mix together cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar in small bowl.
  5. Spray the bottom of a loaf pan with cooking spray.
  6. Pour half of the batter into pan then sprinkle 2/3 of the cinnamon swirl mixture.
  7. Pour remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon swirl mixture.
  8. Take a knife or spatula and cut through batter to swirl.
  9. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean (cooking times vary).
  10. Cool for 10 minutes in pan, then remove and place bread loaf on wire rack.
  11. Place powdered sugar in a bowl and slowly add in milk, stiring until you get to syrup consistency. Drizzle over loaf.
