Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake {Recipe}

peanut butter & jelly milkshake

The peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a staple in my house. I grew up eating them, and now my daughter enjoys a good old-fashioned PB&J at least 2-3 days a week in her school lunch. We go through countless jars of peanut butter and jelly every year. For the peanut butter, we’re not too selective; any natural brand will do. The jelly, on the other hand, is a different story. My daughter is super picky and will only eat natural grape jelly from Welch’s. This is good news for me because Welch’s Natural has no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial flavors or colors, and no preservatives.

We were recently sent two jars of Welch’s natural jelly –in grape and strawberry– to create a twist on the classic PB&J. With summer on the way, I thought it would be a fun treat to make a Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake.

Here’s a quick video of my daughter helping me make the PB&J milkshake, followed by the recipe.

Seriously … If you love peanut butter & jelly, you have to give it a try — It’s sooooo good!

1/4 cup milk

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in blender and mix until smooth.

“PB&J Your Way” Facebook Contest

April 2nd is National Peanut Butter & Jelly Day! To celebrate, Welch’s is running a “PB&J Your Way” Facebook contest where you could win $500 and a one year supply of grape jelly for submitting your own creative spin on the classic sandwich. Plus – 50 lucky people will also win a sandwich keeper. Hurry, the grand prize winner will be chosen by random drawing on 4/3/2013. Visit Welch’s Facebook page to enter!

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Welch’s. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.
