My kids are always asking for Disney desserts, so I decided to make some fun Mickey Christmas bark as a little preview holiday dessert!
One of the things I love best about making chocolate bark is that it's just so very easy. You can make this Mickey Christmas bark using one bowl, one spoon, a baking dish and some parchment paper.
Plus, the kids can get into the mix by helping to add the sprinkles and crushed cookies.
Then, of course, when it's time to break it up, the kids can get into that too and really enjoy themselves!

Tips to make Chocolate Bark
- If you're making chocolate bark for the first time, you may be wondering why I'm not recommending using chocolate chips and food coloring. Let me tell you, it's because it's harder. The chocolate seizes up and it's just a mess. So, take my word for it, melting candies that are already the color you want, that's the way to go.
- When you're adding your sprinkles do not THROW them into the chocolate. Just drop them on top gently. And if they're not buried in the chocolate deep enough for your taste, pat them down gently. Take the keyword there: gently. Otherwise, you'll end up with nothing on top and it'll be boring old chocolate.
What You Need to Make Mickey Christmas Bark
- 2 cups red candy melts
- ¾ tablespoon coconut oil

- ¼ cup Mickey sprinkles
- Green jimmies sprinkles
- Gold ball sprinkles
How to Make Mickey Christmas Bark
- Line your baking dish (9x9 or 9x13 inches) with parchment paper and lightly coat with cooking spray, if desired.
- Place red candy melts and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each increment until melted and smooth.
- Pour red melted candy into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the OREO cookies and sprinkles over the melted candy, then place in the fridge for about an hour.
- Remove from the fridge then remove parchment paper from the pan, dropping the parchment paper onto the counter a couple of times to break the bark up. Then serve and enjoy!
