Geek Squad to the (Overpriced) Rescue

My husband got my computer infected with a nasty virus yesterday and I just paid $170 (!!!) to Geek Squad to fix it remotely.

After seeing everything they did I know I could not have fixed it myself and it did take them 6 hours. I really just needed it gone quickly which explains the INSANE amount of money it cost.

The main problem was my computer would freeze which made working remotely difficult.

It also blocked any adware/spyware/virus removal websites and downloads. Talk about PITA.

It changes my background to some stupid virus infected warning logo that reinstalled itself on startup.

When I could get online it was exterlemy slow and blocked most websites, including all the virus help forums.

Redirected all my searchs to some nonsense ad websites.

I am sure there was more.

Dh is no longer allowed on the computer.
