
Venice, Italy turned out to be more than I bargained for. The beauty of the city simply left me speechless. The canals, the gondoliers, the narrow streets, the bridges … all breathtaking!Â
Here’s a photo I took of the Bridge of Sighs, which was built in 1602 to connect the interrogation rooms in the Doge’s Palace to the old prison. Legend has it, the bridge got its name from the “sigh” prisoners would let out as they passed over the bridge to their prison cell — getting their last glimpse of Venice.
