I thought I’d switch up my Wanderlust Wednesday postings this year by alternating each week with someplace I have actually been, to hopefully inspire you to visit new destinations, and somewhere new that I have yet to explore. For the first half of the year, I will be highlighting my list of 13 Travels for 2013— beginning this week with London, England.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to travel. When I was young, and the internet consisted of only AOL, I built my first website around London. It was called “All About London” and featured classic pictures from the city, with a section devoted to the Royal Family. Even though I was only a tween and had never been out of the country, London was calling my name. I was a true Anglophile!
Fast forward to today– I’m now 30 years old and my dreams of visiting London still lay unfulfilled. This year I would love to travel to Great Britain for the first time and see London as a tourist. I want to ride a double-decker bus … Have afternoon tea with tiny sandwiches and scones … Eat Fish & Chips at an authentic English pub … Wave to the Queen at Buckingham Palace …  Ride the London Eye … And the list goes on!
I think 2013 would be a great year to visit because it seems to be an exciting time– I’m sure the city is still on a high from the Olympics, and now there’s a Royal baby on the way (SQUEE!) … but really, could there ever be a bad time to visit!? 😉
What about you … have you been to London?ÂÂ
