Reasons I hate Kate Gosselin…
I watch Jon and Kate Plus 8 all the time, but I have to admit as time goes on I have began to hate Kate Gosselin more and more.
1. First and foremost Kate expects everything to be given to them for free, and though she gets everything, she is completely ungrateful.
2. Kate kicks Aunt Jodie off the show because she doesn’t want her getting paid for her appearances. Kate is only happy when Kate is the only one getting paid. It didn’t help that viewers liked Aunt Jody and Kate thought she made her look bad.
3. Kate is so sketchy on her fertility issues. Since I have PCOS and am undergoing fertility treatments I know a little something about this. No reputable Dr. would have gone through with the IUI with proper monitoring.
4. Pretends to eat only organic food when it is obvious she doesn’t.
5. Consigns all her free clothes for the kiddos. Wouldn’t it be nice to donate something back instead of having to make money off something you got for free?
6. Seriously needs to get on medication for her OCD.
7. Claims the tups have no colleges funds set up on her website when the Governor of Pennsylvania gifted this back in 2005.
8. Obviously favors the girls over the boys.
9. Who doesn’t let their kids eat the cupcakes they made for their birthday?
10. Charging $20 CASH at their appearances for autographed pictures with the kids. This is in addition to the “Love Offerings” that are collected and the now $25,000 appearance fee they require to speak at churches and other events.
11. Treats Jon like he is a child.
12. Complains about cleanliness but leaves pee in the potty chairs all over the house.
13. Has made comments like, “society has a responsibility to help with the children, since modern medicine promotes the use of fertility drugs, which can lead to multiple births”.
Get ready for next season when Jon and Kate renew their vows in Hawaii and move into their million dollar 8,000 sf home in North Carolina who knows where :::eye roll::
OMG STOP EATING!!! WHAT LANGUAGE AM I SPEAKING…..I wanted to scream SHUT UP back at her….I know they weren’t organic strawberries cause you have to take what you can get..eye roll!
I hate her too but it is like a train wreak…I can’t stop watching! And in some really weird strange I may need therapy way I really like the plus 8 of the Jon and Kate.
Well, I’ve not enough energy to hate the woman but boy, oh, boy does she ever annoy me. I question her not only her POCS but a lot of her other diagnosis she gives herself and the children.
I can’t stand the show anymore. I guess something fundamental changed with the gum on the teddy, or Joel being sick and banished to the laundry room or somewhere amongst those incidents along with the watch Kate shop for clothes, watch Kate go to the spa, watch Kate scream at Jon, watch Kate call her sons icky, watch Kate get a fancy dinner out, watch Kate, Kate, Kate. What was this show supposed to be about again? What challenges of raising two sets of multiples do we see. Doesn’t look like they lack for anything other then sanity.
Yea, I have been seeing the hate blog going on that Jodi’s sister started, but I just quit reading it cause I really do enjoy the show.
I like watching it in front of hubbs so he knows how good he has it LOL with not a bossy wife ;).
Hi, I just wanted to elaborate a little. I respectfully disagree that Kate treats Jon as a child, because that implies that Kate would treat Jon with some mothering kindness. No, Kate treats Jon like total garbage. She shows no respect for him, corrects everything he says, commands him when to cough, breathe, eat (or not), criticizes him about his weight, complains as if he does nothing for her. It is totally unbelievable to me that Kate gets by with treating this man like he is a worthless human being, when it is Jon that does the bulk of the work at the Gosselin house and it is Jon that is the only hope for showing real love and kindness towards those children.
Just wanted to share my two cents worth because I feel so strongly about this issue and I totally hate Kate for treating this good man like a dog.
I thought I was the only one who felt this way! I haven’t watched many of these shows, because I think her attitude stinks. Not that I am always a little ray of sunshine, but come on. SHE got herself into this mess of having eight kids. Now people are jumping to her aid as though it was some kind of natural disaster, and she still finds things to complain about!
The one thing that really bothered me was when they first sent a maid to clean for her. When the maid finished and left, Kate went around the house looking for things she hadn’t cleaned. She found a bit of dust and lint under the hamper and had the gall to complain that she was “disappointed” because she thought the maid would do a good job, and then she was sloppy. Hello, first of all it was free. Second, a maid is not going to be able to clean up a mess you spent months making in just a few hours. Clean it yourself if you’re so perfect.
Kate is a sociopathic moron. I think she and her proper english are like nails on a chalkboard.
I’m waiting for the tell all books that the children write when they are grown and always on the look out for the episode where jon grows balls and leaves her!
I can no longer stand to watch this show. Kate mistreats Jon every chance she gets, why he takes it I’ll never know. I admire his commitment to his children, but he doesn’t deserve the abuse Kate gives him. She is always standing around, hands on her hips, giving orders, dictating. There are many times she is standing right in front of something she doesn’t like, and screams at Jon for not taking care of it. She has fits about things she should be responsible for. Once while the kids were getting swim lessons, Kate walked around the pool shouting orders, when one of the kids went under water she freaked, told Jon not to let it happen again. He was in the pool playing with the kids, she was standing right there. Did she jump in? No, just complained about Jon, again. That poor guy, he really needs to Man-Up. Those kids are going to have a warped sense of reality.

Wow!! I totally agree with everything you said! I have never made a post before…anywhere about Kate because SO many people are truly blinded by this PHONY CHRISTIAN and they get brutal with anyone who doesn’t worship the ground this selfish woman walks on!!
I used to feel sorry for Jon, but not anymore. Any man who puts up with that treatment and chooses to do nothing about it is just asking for it! He needs to grow a set and show her he is a man not a child!
Then again, maybe he likes the free cash as much as she does and chooses to remain quiet and “plays” the part to keep the gravy train rolling. He must condone it all to some degree, b/c I don’t see him putting his foot down and stopping any of the non-sense. He seems to be okay with charging CHURCHES 25,000 dollars a pop….how wrong is that?!
The show was cute in the beginning…it was real. It showed the REAL struggles of a family in their situation. NOW, it is so staged and fake and unrealistic. All they do is travel, and spend TLC’s money. Kate has a personal assistant for her errands, an organic chef to do the cooking, a lawn care person, hired nannies, maids to do all the cleaning and a plethera of other people to do her bidding. I wouldn’t call that the “normal struggles of everyday life of a mother of 8″.
The show is no longer about the REAL LIFE struggles and daily tribulations of a family with 8 kids, rather, it is a show about putting a group of kids on display for rating to keep their pockets lined.
It would be a cold day before any child of mine was degraded to the point of having to urinate, have bowel movements, and throw up on television. That is beyond disgusting on the part of the parents!! When those poor children have accidents and it is aired for ALL to see, that is as LOW as it could possibly get!
Shame on Jon and Kate Gosselin for taking their “Blessings” and EXPLOITING them!!
And as many other anti Jon and Kate viewers have been accused of being, NO I am not at all jealous of these people. I live in a house well over 6,000 SQ.FT. and I have only 3 kids, we own our own business, and live a full happy life. So NO, there is no jealousy, just disgust. I could never do to my babies what those people do to theirs…..that is NOT love!!!
The Kate Gosselin I see on tv is not a loving parent. She frets about how her children look and not how they feel, as evidenced by the Disney trip where she screamed that her daughter was ruined for ice cream melting down her shirt. She has completely sold out her kids to satisfy her own desires for cash, free travel and hobnobbing with celebrities. The fact she has no relationship with her parents is telling. I think her children will regret how she used them.

What’s up with this show? This new season seems so staged; not REAL like the first few seasons. I decided to google and came across many blogs. WOW! I’m relieved to read that so many others have had the same concerns as me; especially when it comes to the kids. I certainly don’t begrudge Jon and Kate the opportunity to make money to secure a future for their family. I can’t imagine the cost of raising 8 kids and putting them through college. But where are their extended families? I keep hearing there is a “chasm” between them. What could have happened that caused Jon and Kate to break from both sides? And with such vehement permanance? I’ve also noticed that none one in this family has friends; neither Jon nor Kate, nor any of the children. Is Kate that controlling?? She’s starting to come off as impervious with only her best interests at heart. A real Diva at this point. I truly feel for her children. She treats them terribly with no concern for their feelings; only that they’re clean. When the kids come of age, they’re going to leave home and never come back…much like Kate has done with her own family. Hmm..apple…tree. I pray for the kids to have someone in their life that doesn’t demand perfection and will listen without verbal abuse in return.
Its not enough that she treats Jon like crap, but she made him get a hair transplant? I had to change the chanel. She makes me sick. I feel sorry for her kids especially the boys. What a witch!
I am shocked at how hateful you sound as a mother. Kate can be a bit of a snob at times, but YOU don’t know the whole story about any of this, she eats as much organic food as she can. She has NEVER claimed she eats ALL organic. Shame on you for talking down on another mother. She is doing amazingly considering she has 8 flippin kids..are you serious? The only thing I really don’t like about her is how she talks down to Jon..and she is a little OCD, but she can’t help that.

Just as those of you defending Kate have not walked in her shoes or know the whole story. I don’t care if she has 20 kids - there is NO reason for her to belittle and verbally abuse her husband, children and anyone else unlucky enough to come into contact with her. There are many, many families with high order multiples who are not pimping out their children’s dignity for the sake of the almighty dollar. The author’s opinion is spot on.

I recently read the book Multiple Blessings and felt that it was a bit forced, seemed like they were trying to hard to weave in rationale for some of the decisions that they made in the past. I can’t totally disagree with Kate for not liking what that makeover team did to the girls’ room, or the nursery, but it does seem like she expects a lot. I don’t know what my opinion is on Kate…nor if I am entitled to have one (don’t judge less ye be judged) BUT I have decided that I’m going to stop watching the show….
I think the adorable, wonderful kids that they have deserve some privacy to grow up. I don’t agree that they need a huge house, but I guess I can’t blame them ‘making hay while the sun shines’.
Thank You!! I have been trying to find a site where I can vent onto how I cannot stand Kate Gosselin. When I first viewed the show in the beginning…I also thought it was real. I thought how hard it must be to have 8 kids that are so young.
Now…I can’t even watch. And..my husband and I will not allow our 2 children to watch either. Mostly b/c of the way Kate talks to Jon. We do not talk to each other like that ( not that we’re perfect). But..as a paramedic..I disagree with many things on the show. One being allowing a sick child to lay on a luandry room floor. He should be in his bed..or on the couch..somewhere other than a cold floor. That made me sick.
This family is using these kids for money. I doubt either parent works anymore. The Christian BS is out of control. I hate when Kate yells (” OH MY WORD!!”). She is all for show. And Jon needs to step up and say something. How in the world do the producer’s think America is enjoying this show? It’s a total train wreck! They have zero family and friends left. That poor Maddy girl is headed for BIG trouble. It just bothers me. What’s gonna happen when TLC cuts the show? Everyone knows it wont be on forever. Neither of these parents work and I highly doubt that any of them will be huge movie stars. How will they afford this million dollar home when they don’t have a show or jobs? Kate is downright rude to all who come in contact with her. She lie’s constantly. As for the PCOS..I don’t see one single sign of her having that diagnosis. I am in the medical field and Iknow what PCOS looks like…and it’s NOT Kate. She had those treatments b/c she had an agenda!!! Look where it got her. She treats those kids like crap. I see NO love in that family. None. I know that if social service’s was in MY HOUSE watching my kid lay on a laundry room floor sick..they’d have some serious questions for me. Maybe one day..Kate and Jon will get a reality check. Hopefully..they will. For those kids sake. This woman is crazy..and so unhappy. I’ve heard she has no family..no friends. My brother live’s in PA where they used to live and according to him..all of PA can’t stand her. I believe it, too. She’s just a awful, mean, nasty mom and wife. I actually like Jon. But..I wish he’d stick up for himself. But..like alot of you said..he can’t. It’s his bread and butter too. Plus..he doesn’t have to workl now. What I don’t get is..they have someone doing everything for them…what’s gonna happen when it’s all over? Are they really set for life???
I think enough is enough with this family. I wish TLC would cut it and allow us to view “real” family’s. With “real” problems.

You know what’s really funny is if it was any of YOU idiots getting “freebies” you all would LOVE it. People want their cake & eat it, too. It’s so apparent. & secondly, any of these so called “freebies” are actually NOT free. So while they’re getting “freebies” they are actually WORKING, you know how that is? Because people from companies/places/parks/Disney/ & anything else like that get ADVERTISED by THEM visiting the damn place, which= WORKING. The people of the companies basically say “we would love for you to come & film a show here & in return give you guys free accomidations if you guys ADVERTISE”. Are you people blind or something? & thirdly, I’d like to see some actual PROOF as to people being fired, Kate being a so called “bad parent”, & them being millionaires. Once I see some PROOF I’d believe it. “ALL ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY”. Stop being so hateful, jealous, & petty. I’m so happy that they have all that they do & how well they take care of their children. Forget this bashing.
