Please note that this post was originally written in 2008. I now have no interest in Kate Gosselin.
I watch Jon and Kate Plus 8 all the time, but I have to admit as time goes on I have began to hate really dislike Kate Gosselin more and more.
1. First and foremost Kate expects everything to be given to them for free, and though she gets everything, she is completely ungrateful.
2. Kate kicks Aunt Jodie off the show because she doesn’t want her getting paid for her appearances. Kate is only happy when Kate is the only one getting paid. It didn’t help that viewers liked Aunt Jody and Kate thought she made her look bad.
3. Kate is so sketchy on her fertility issues. Since I have PCOS and am undergoing fertility treatments I know a little something about this. No reputable Dr. would have gone through with the IUI with proper monitoring. Not to mention the fact that if you’re giving yourself the potential to be responsible for 8 new human beings, you should be required to get a degree in social work, or at least be required to pass How Not To Exploit Your Child (101) with a grade of “C” or higher.
4. Pretends to eat only organic food when it is obvious she doesn’t.
5. Consigns all her free clothes for the kiddos. Wouldn’t it be nice to donate something back instead of having to make money off something you got for free?
6. Seriously needs to get on medication for her OCD.
7. Claims the tups have no colleges funds set up on her website when the Governor of Pennsylvania gifted this back in 2005.
8. Obviously favors the girls over the boys.
9. Who doesn’t let their kids eat the cupcakes they made for their birthday?
10. Charging $20 CASH at their appearances for autographed pictures with the kids. This is in addition to the “Love Offerings” that are collected and the now $25,000 appearance fee they require to speak at churches and other events.
11. Treats Jon like he is a child.
12. Complains about cleanliness but leaves pee in the potty chairs all over the house.
13. Has made comments like, “society has a responsibility to help with the children, since modern medicine promotes the use of fertility drugs, which can lead to multiple births”.
Get ready for next season when Jon and Kate renew their vows in Hawaii and move into their million dollar 8,000 sf home in North Carolina who knows where :::eye roll::
Edited to add: I do not fault the Gosselins for accepting freebies and getting paid gigs, my #1 complaint is Kate’s attitude and ungratefulness that has resulted from this. It seems now she has come to expect everything to be handed to her, and really has that I am better than you attitude.

I watched this show once, about two years ago – just wanted to see what all the flak was about. My first reaction: SHOCK! This woman was a BITCH to her then-suffering husband who looked like he was in a trance and knew her well enough to know to agree, agree, agree. My take on this queen of the B’s? She has Borderline Personality Disorder and it is rearing its ugly head more and more with the “rise” of her fame. She is a nut job and it would not surprise me one bit if we learned that Kate planned her multiples to do just what she’s done.
I thought she was an awful mom on that one show I watched and a worst wife. I saw nuances of the comments to her childre; it was like she was always just under the wire in covering up sacasm or snottiness when speaking to her very young children or even about them to others. When I heard they were separating and divorcing, I remembered the show and wondered what took him so long.
Those children are at least not stuck with her 24/7. I’m sure they are glad to see mommy come home (like most kids whether the parents are nuts or not), but much happier to see her leave. Really! BPDs wear everyone in their lives to a frazzle. I’m sure she does just that as often as possible. I imagine she can’t keep friends (or employees) either. BPDs make fast friends and lose them quickly after the non-BPDs realize that they aren’t all they’re cracked up to be and that they are just CRACKED!
She needs to b back to work as a nurse … broke and working her ass off again to appreciate what she has….. She is a DIVA WANNNA B cause a real Dive HAS A TALENT
OH MY! there’s no words to even begin to comprehend this psycho woman. I was a faithful watcher of jon and kate plus eight, from the very start, then she completely changed. Once she had her first makeover and haircut. It all went downhill from there. The fame came and the old simple kate was gone. You could tell right away when they begun doing appearances for famous talk shows/news, books, the fame begun to go to her head. Her children were an attention getter and she quote on quote “was doing all she could to better them” AS IF!! on one episode she was a total bag to her husband at “Toys R Us” for what, for playing with the kids and not be next to her side like a faithful dog would be at her becken call. Ugh! i do not like her anymore and i am glad jon has found his happiness, because now i think deep inside she regrets of what the outcome has been. Sometimes i think it is best to be simple middle class average joe than to have it all, better to be poor and happy than alone and misserable.
This woman has got to be the biggest charlatan of all time. She is, in my opinion THE worst mother on the planet. I do not understand how she had become such a phenomenon and why the media is so entranced with her. She has ZERO talent and is ugly to boot! She should go and get a real job (or go back to her real job) and stop exploiting her children in order to support her family. She makes me sick and I stopped watching her crappy show about a year ago. Yuck!
Kate Gosselin should be charhged with eight felony counts of violating Murphy’s First Law of Procreation, which reads, and I quote; “Stupid People Should Not Breed”!
WHY is Kate so hated and despised?
1. Abuse of her pathetic husband. Come on, we all know about Asian guys. So give him a break.
2. Abuse of her bad mannered kids. Well, they are not all bad mannered. Except maybe the older one who is pretty consistent about acting like a special-ed dropout.
3. Acting like a pro at mothering when she is a miserable failure. I’ve seen enough botched Gosselin holidays and meals and outings for a lifetime, really…
4. Groaning about bills when she is earning millions off her freakish litter
5. Groaning about her bills, and claiming she is frugal, even a coupon-cutter, then spending untold amounts on plastic surgery, mansions, sports cars, and boyfriends, I mean, bodyguards
6. And wait, what happened to the dogs?
