Can you believe there are less than 100 days until Christmas? As of writing this post, there are only 85! And it never fails: just when I think that this is going to be the year that I stay organized and on top of things, the holidays creep on me (once again!).
The good news is that there is still time to get everything together. I have a few DIY (Do it Yourself) gifts in mind for my extended family that requires a bit of planning and preparation. One of my ideas is to make sugar and salt body scrubs in delicious scents like gingerbread and sugar cookie. I have a simple recipe picked out that requires just a few basic ingredients, but I still need to find glass jars for the scrub and then cute holiday packaging to put them in. One of the websites that I have been browsing for gift wrap, bags and holiday crafts is Lakeside.com.
Lakeside has a great selection of holiday stationary that would be perfect for gift giving. The best part is the prices … they’re amazingly inexpensive! I’m looking at these “Santa’s Gift Bags” to hold my jars of scrub. The price for 3 bags is just $8.95 and they look large and sturdy. In addition to my scrub, I could put a loofah in there and maybe a bottle of lotion for a complete gift.

I also came across these Holiday Goodie Containers. At $5.95 for 24, they’re a great price to send home cookies (or even leftovers) to friends and family who stop by over the holidays.
