A holiday in the UK is at the top of my family's wishlist. Ideally, we would fly into London and the take the train to visit other areas of the region. A few of the sites I would like to see are Stonehenge, Highclere Castle (where Downton Abbey is filmed!), the White Cliffs of Dover, Windsor Castle and the city of Bath. And because we would be so close to France, I would like to take a day trip over to Paris, assuming there are some good promo codes and deals for Eurotunnel Le Shuttle.
Because there is so much to see in the UK, the trip can get kind of expensive. To save a few dollars (make that British pounds!), I'm thinking about camping with my family. There are literally hundreds of campsites across England and Scotland, and with the camping equipment sale at Outdoor Megastore, we can get all the essentials we need to have a great trip. In addition to basic campsites, where you just set up a tent, there are some luxury campsites in the UK that I would like to try out. This type of camping is called "Glamping", and to be honest, it's more my style. These "glam-sites" already have tents set up with extra amenities in extremely beautiful locations. Can you imagine, leisurely, camping your way across the UK? I think it sounds very relaxing, with the added benefit of being surrounded by natural beauty.
I'm still running the numbers to see if this extended holiday in the UK is feasible for my family, but when I added up the cost of hotels vs. campsites, it really makes sense to "rough it" a little bit to have the opportunity to see everything we want. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are four of the most beautiful countries in Europe -- it would be a shame to not be able to experience them fully.

Come! Love to see you over here. As you say, glamping is becoming more and more popular, so it makes it easy for people travelling a long way who can't bring their stuff with them.
One thing though - the reputation for "challenging" weather in the UK is well founded, so come prepared. Still, as they say "There's no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing"...
