Over the last year, I have become more and more health conscious -- probably because I just turned 30... One of my goals was to get more exercise into my daily routine. It sounds simple enough, but it's been extremely hard for me to get out of the house and into the gym, even for as little as a half-hour per day. I find that I will go to the gym everyday for two weeks straight, and then the day as soon as I miss a day, I'm out for a month. To counter the need to leave the house, I've been looking into some home exercise programs.
My first resource was Netflix, believe it or not. While there's aren't any new programs listed, unless you count THE SITUATION Workout, which is more of a comedy; the whole CRUNCH series of workouts are available, which were popular years' ago. These workouts are a great place to start to see if you like following someone on TV, before investing in $100+ workout routine. I, personally, couldn't stay committed to the CRUNCH series, but I do enjoy 10 MINUTE SOLUTION PILATES on Netflix and can keep up with that everyday. Still, I think I need something a little more structured, which is why I'm considering one of the "more serious" home exercise DVD programs.
Home exercise programs I'm looking at:
Insanity 60 day total body conditioning program - I've seen the late night infomercials, and I want the t-shirt.
P90X - Another late night infomercial favorite, this ones been around for awhile and just about everyone has tried it once.
TurboFire - I totally got on the TurboJam bandwagon years ago and liked Chalene Johnson.
RUSHFIT - If it's good enough for an MMA Legend...me thinks it's good enough for me 🙂
Have you tried any of these home workouts? Did you stick with it and have success?
