Florida: Where the fun is

While the fun to be had in Florida is in no way limited to exploring its excellent theme parks, the area continues to excel with regards to its offering on this front. In 2011, the excitement will rise even higher with a number of new attractions set to launch...so what should visitors now be planning into their Florida trip?

A few days at family favorite Walt Disney World should definitely be on your schedule, if only for the magical experience of the parades and the educational benefit of EPCOT. Because there is so much to pack in when it comes to exploring Disney it’s best to sit down as a group and discuss what your must-sees are; the water parks are fun, but not necessarily something to do on your first trip.

The other big name in Florida theme parks is Universal Studios, which remains more popular than ever thanks to the addition last year of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This section of the park is likely to be a must-see for any Potter fans, especially since the final film of the series is due to be released in July.

Even holidaymakers who have visited the Florida theme parks before will find plenty of new fun to greet them. This spring Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is launching a new ride called the Cheetah Hunt which will combine the excitement of nature with a rollercoaster. Another attraction to look out for later in the year will be the newly opened Legoland in Florida, this is currently being built in Winter Haven 45 minutes southwest of Orlando.

Staying close to the attractions can offer some real time-saving advantages, especially when there is so much to pack in. With this in mind many visitors choose to hire a family holiday villa in Florida to use as a base for their activities. Being close to the resorts but not on site offers considerable monetary savings and also allows holidaymakers to have some much needed relaxation time away from the hustle and bustle. There is a huge range of accommodation offered in this area to suit the budgets of most visitors with some in gated communities featuring luxurious extras such as clubhouses with fitness suites, spas and saunas to provide even more fun for your Florida stay.

I agree that is much more relaxing to have a family villa or condo when you are vacationing in Orlando from the standpoint of room to spread-out and cook. It's part of the florida experience and so many options are available in close proximity to the parks.
