I've always dreamed of a big kitchen. One with a ton of counter space and a butcher block. My kitchen isn't small, but there is not a lot of usable space. I'm sure I could do better with organization, but until I take on that mess, I'm looking into a kitchen work table or a kitchen cart.
Kitchen carts are great because they are movable; allowing you to free up space when they're not in use. I've seen some kitchen work tables that collapse, allowing them to be stored. When you're tight on space, either of these kitchen work centers can save your sanity when you're preparing a big meal.
While not movable, I am totally digging this butcher block/kitchen work table combo.
It's a classic design in case we decide to move, and it is very study due to it being all wood. The two storage shelves are perfect for storage bowls, bake ware or little kitchen gadgets in baskets.
Even if you don't have a large kitchen, you can feel like you have one with the addition of a kitchen work table.
