“Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious …”
It is hard to believe that it’s been 50 years since Mary Poppins was first released in 1964. It’s one of Walt Disney’s most classic “classics”, featuring Dick Van Dykethe and, the incomparable, Julie Andrews.
To monument this special occasion, Disney is releasing “Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary Edition” on December 10, 2013.
I admit that prior to the new release, I hadn’t seen Mary Poppins in at least a decade. It wasn’t until screening Saving Mr. Banks that my interest in seeing the film peaked. After watching the movie with my daughter (who just viewed it for the first time!), I feel like we’ve been missing out all of these years. The singing … the dancing … the penguins! And of course Mary Poppins! The movie was great fun to watch again, and I know it’s now going to be a part of our regular movie rotation.
Here’s a preview.
