One of the places –of a long list– that I am dying to travel to is Sydney, Australia. There is just something very exciting about going “Down Under” to the land of Kangaroos and Koala Bears. Sydney is quite far from me; the flight time clocking in at a whopping 21 hours with connections, but I still think it would be worth it if I could find cheap flights to Sydney.
Once I get to Sydney, I have a short list of things I want to see and do:
1. See a Show at Sydney Opera House – This iconic World Heritage site is an amazing piece of architecture. I would love attend a show or performance, but if not, a tour of the inside would do.
2. Explore Sydney Harbor – I would love to walk along the shore, or take a ferry for some spectacular views of the city (and Sydney Opera House).
3. Visit Bondi Beach – I’m not a surfer, but I can appreciate the sport and I think it would be fun to enjoy the sun and sand at this world famous beach.
4. Try Vegemite – I’ve never had Vegemite, and I can’t think of a better place to try it than Sydney. I have no idea what it tastes like, but I’m sure it will be an experience!
5. See the Blue Mountains – While not technically in Sydney, I will have to travel there to get to the Blue Mountains. The area is rich in history, and of course, the views are amazing!
I’m also interested in checking out the Sydney Aquarium, Luna Park, the Royal Botanical Gardens and Taronga Zoo.
