Since much of my life revolves around the internet, I have to keep up with all of the latest trends. This means that I've acquired a nice stockpile of electronic devices -- more than I can use. The good news is I always have a backup, the bad news is that after a few seasons, the technology becomes obsolete for my needs. So what do I do with all of my extra iPods, cell phones and video cameras? Well, currently they're sitting in my closet, but I know that I can sell my netbook for cash, along with some of my other unwanted goods online at sites like Music Magpie. This is a win-win situation because I can get rid of the clutter, and make some money-- which I can use to buy whatever I want!
After looking over a few different services that offer cash for stuff, I found there are a few tips to get you the most money.
1. Keep your products in excellent condition -- Especially for electronics, you want to protect your devices from scratches and cracked screens. You can do this by taking extra care as soon as you buy a new tech gadget-- buy a screen protector and a hard case -- the payoff will be worth it when you trade in.
2. Keep all original boxes and paperwork -- Whenever I've purchased a used item, I always want the original box and paperwork. This is partly due to the fact that I can resell again, but also because I want all the info I can have on the product when it arrives. Having these little extras on hand will increase their value.
3. Keep original chargers and ear buds -- I'm notorious for loosing chargers and ear buds and I always end up using a universal charger, but if you want to resell and get the most money, you'll want to keep track of these accessories.
The bottom line is to keep your goods in pristine condition with all of the elements they came with in the original box. By doing this, you can get more cash back.
