With H1N1 here, and seasonal flu season around the corner, taking small measures can help keep your family healthy. One of those measures is to sanitize your home with Lysol Cleaning Products.
Does LYSOL® kill Influenza A H1N1?
A. Laboratory tests have shown that many LYSOL® products, when used according to label instructions, are effective against similar strains of Influenza virus H1N1. These LYSOL® products include: LYSOL® Disinfectant Spray, LYSOL® Disinfecting Wipes, and LYSOL® All Purpose Cleaners, both pourable and trigger products.
How can families protect themselves from Influenza A H1N1?
Like all viruses, the best way to help prevent infection and protect your family is to follow proper hygiene routines. The following routines are recommended by the CDC:
* Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
* Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
* Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
* Stay home if you get sick. CDC recommends that you stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.
Lysol has put together a Cold & Flu Prevention Guide, as well as a Germ Information Center where you can learn other ways to keep your family healthy this cold & flu season.
Keeping common surfaces such as countertops, doorknobs, and telephones sanitized with disinfectants such as LYSOL Disinfecting Wipes will help stop germs.

Our house is always kept very clean, and we air out the house everyday of the year for at least 30 minutes; but we do not and will not get and kind of so-called flu vaccinations.
In our house, the minute anyone comes inside, the hands get washed! I wipe down door knobs and handles (inside and out) everyday. At school, do not share any foods with another student.
