Melissa & Doug Trunki and Saddlebag Review & Giveaway (Ended)

in Reviews & Giveaways

I travel a lot for my blog and whenever possible, I like to bring my daughter with me. I usually consolidate our clothes together, but her toys are a different story. Every time we go somewhere– even just for the night– she has to bring a separate suitcase for her “things”. Her Disney Princess suitcase recently broke, so we were in the market for something new.

Enter the Trunki from Melissa and Doug.

My daughter has wanted a Pink Trunki Suitcase since she was three years old. She is six now, but she still wanted one. I thought a Trunki might be too young for her by now, but she insisted when we were given the opportunity to review one.

When the Trunki arrived it was just as I expected. A cute little hard suitcase on wheels. My daughter was ECSTATIC. She immediately got on it and scooted around the house.

Then she pulled it around. Then she applied a pack of Trunki destination stickers. Then she packed it with lots of “stuff”.

Our Trunki arrived just in time because we were leaving for Disney World the next day.

Once again, she packed it herself.

The Trunki can’t hold a lot of clothes, but it can hold a lot of little toys. This actually worked out perfect for us.

We also received Trunki’s companion, the Pink Saddlebag.

Younger kids can take the Saddlebag and lay it on top of the Trunki like a saddle. My daughter decided she wanted to carry hers as a bag. There is plenty of room for crayons or other small trinkets.

We went to Disney and my daughter pulled her Trunki EVERYWHERE. At times, it was a little annoying because she is much slower than me and I just wanted to pick it up and go. The great thing is if you want to pick the Trunki up you can, as it has a handle like a regular suitcase. It is light enough my daughter could carry it, but she never did. She pulled it.

I love that Trunki is now made by Melissa & Doug, one of my favorite toy brands that it known for their high quality wooden toys.

I highly recommend the Trunki for children ages 3-6. I think we would have gotten a ton of use out of it if I bought her one a few years ago. I anticipate she will use her Trunki for another 6 months or so. I could totally be wrong though, she really seems to like it a lot.

You can purchase the Trunki and all of its accessories at Gummylump.com.
