It's not even Thanksgiving, and it's already time for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in the Magic Kingdom! Believe it or not, this is my family's first year attending MVMCP.
The magic began Nov. 8 and will continue on select nights through Dec. 19. The party is similar to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in that it is a hard ticket event that starts at 7pm and ends at midnight.
The Magic Kingdom is transformed into a winter wonderland that will instantly put you in the holiday spirit. There are lights, music and scents of the season!
No party would be complete without treats! Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party delivers unlimited hot chocolate and cookies!
In addition to hot chocolate and cookies, apple slices and apple juice are served- all complimentary.
After a few sugar cookies (REALLY good ones too!) and cups of hot chocolate, the apple slices and juice make a refreshing treat.
Sugar-free hot chocolate is available on request.
After you grab some cookies and cocoa, you won't want to miss Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade. It marches around the park twice nightly.
Even in Florida, snowflakes flurry on Main Street, U.S.A.
Also, Cinderella's Castle changes color right before your eyes as it twinkles with 200,000 white lights.
And "Holiday Wishes, Celebrate the Spirit of the Season” fireworks light up the night sky to perfectly orchestrated holiday music. The ending is not to be missed!
While the park was very busy, wait times on rides were minimal. We walked right on to Big Thunder Mountain-- our favorite nighttime ride! This was also the case with Pirates of the Caribbean and Astro Orbiter. Even though we love walking on the rides, there is so much to see around the park that it becomes secondary. One of my daughter's favorite shows was the Pirate Christmas performance in front of POTC.
We are adding Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party to our annual list of Disney events not to be missed. I think the party is a great way to kick off the holiday season and put your family in the Christmas spirit.
Party dates are Nov. 8, 11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 28, 30 and Dec. 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17 and 19. Day-of-party ticket pricing is $59.95 ($53.95 for ages 3-9). Advance tickets are available with $6 savings for most dates. Guests can visit Disneyworld.com/christmasparty or call 407/W-DISNEY.
Special thanks to Disney for providing my family with tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. All opinions are my own.

We missed the "official" holiday season at Disney World by one day when we were there for Brandcation. I was so bummed! But they did have some of the decorations up. It's such a magical place at Christmas time!

One of the things I'm most looking for to moving back home (Miami) is being able to visit Disney World on a regular basis!
Wonderful post!

This last November was my first time visiting Florida along with the parks. I was very lucky to be able to see Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The parade and the show at Cinderella's castle was very magical and I became obsessed with those REALLY good cookies too 🙂 Do you have any idea if there is a recipe even similar to them?
