Planting a garden is both a fun and educational activity that you can do with your child. I know my daughter loves planting bulbs or seeds and watching them grow into beautiful flowers. While most people start planting in the spring, there’s a variety of bulbs that need to be planted in the fall before frost hits. These flowers include Tulips, Amaryllis and Allium. The latter is a kid-favorite because the purple flowers have HUGE blossoms that grow as large as a soccer ball!
While you may think these beauties are tough to grow, they’re really not. Especially when you plant Dig. Drop. Done. bulbs. Just as the name suggests, you dig a hole, drop in the bulb, water the area, and you’re done! It’s an easy, hands-on project that you can do with your kids this fall — and to make the activity even more fun, Dig. Drop. Done is giving away a FREE gardening themed Scholastic book for your child (or classroom) when you purchase any Dig.Drop.Done package of bulbs!
Here’s how:
- From August 1 – November 30, 2012 (August 1 – October, 30, 2012 in Canada, excluding Quebec), purchase any package of Dig.Drop.Done bulbs in order to qualify. {Click here for official rules}
- Complete this Redemption form, cut out the Dig.Drop.Done logo from the package and mail both to Scholastic:
       Dig.Drop.Done Book Offer 557 Broadway, PO Box 711 New York, NY 10013
- On this form, you will need to provide your contact information and indicate the grade-range of your child (or students) so Scholastic can send you an age-appropriate book.
