Delizioso! 12 Italian Sunday Dinners

I’m not Italian, but I sure like to eat like one!

One Italian-American tradition that I can get behind is Italian Sunday Dinner — a weekly gathering of family and friends with more food and wine than you’d typically eat/drink in a week’s time.

If you love food, it’s a feast worth splurging on (no counting calories here!).

Typically Italian Sunday Dinner starts with an antipasto course, made up of cured meats, cheese and marinated vegetables. Then comes an appetizer, such as a soup, followed by the main entree— which could be any of the meals from the Italian Sunday Dinners featured below. Vegetables or a salad usually accompany the main course, and then there is always dolce … a sweet treat to end the meal.

Clearly, you don’t have to have an Italian lineage to appreciate good food and company – try one of these great Italian recipes at your next Sunday dinner.
