Keep Pests Out with Hot Shot® Insecticides + Hiding Places Sweepstakes #HotShot

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hot Shot® Insecticides. All opinions are my own.

If it weren’t for our cats, I would be blissfully unaware of just how many bugs sneak into our home. Our one cat, Rocky, waits by the back door that leads to the garage just so he can stalk his prey. It’s both funny and disgusting at the same time. I always know when Rocky is on to a palmetto bug when he crouches down like he’s ready to pounce. Sometimes he catches a bug, which I immediately dispose, and other times I think he hunts for fun, even when bugs aren’t around. One thing I do know, bugs are sneaky and hide in the most obscure places— even in boxes that I thought were sealed.

Palmetto bugs are our number one pest here in Florida, and it seems that they are brought in after the rain through the garage, where they hide until they have a chance to sneak into the interiors. As much as I appreciate the effort of my bug defender, Rocky, I really prefer that he not take on the job. That’s one of the reasons I have commissioned my husband to use Hot Shot® Insecticides to treat the garage and other areas where bugs can crawl in.

I like how Hot Shot® Ant & Roach plus Germ Killer can be used before even the first sight of bugs. We have been spraying the inside of the garage and laundry room, as well as all the rooms with sliding glass doors, to prevent pests from getting in. It’s been our first line of defense, and so far so good. If a bug does get past our barrier, I will knock it dead with just on shot of Hot Shot® spray. The only good thing, and by that I mean totally NOT a good thing, is that Palmetto bugs are large enough to spot right away— it’s been fairly easy to make those bugs not “feel at home” in our home.
