My 10-year-old daughter is in love with Skylanders. I’m not sure when she got hooked on it, but it’s one of her favorite games to play on our XBox 360. I know she enjoys collecting the interactive figures, which surprisingly feature a good number of female characters in addition to maleรขโฌโรย Skylanders is definitely not a game just for boys!
When it comes to gameplay, I really don’t have a clue as to what’s going on, butรย it was easy enough for her to pick up on her own and she’s been playing for a few years. Theรย franchise features interactive figures, portal and accessories that seamlessly bridge the physical and virtual worlds across multiple platforms, where kidรขโฌโขs favorite characters come to life on the screen.
Now that her cousinรย is old enough to get in on the action,รย I thought it would be fun to put together Skylanders Easter baskets,รย with some of the newรย Skylanders Trap Team Easter Toys,รย for the girls to share andรย play together.
It was as easy as getting an Easter basket, filling withรย Skylanders games and figures, and adding a small plush and candies to complete theรย look. I know they’re going to love them, and can’t wait to see their faces on Easter!!
I used an assortment of Skylanders products, including Skylanders Giants, SWAPรย Force and Trap Team.
And just in time for Easter, Skylanders introduced 3 new Trap Team figures.
Eggsellent Weeruptor was chosen as this yearรขโฌโขs official mascot for the Annual Dragon Egg Hunt! Being new to this time honored tradition, he disguised himself as a candy-coated egg and proceeded to capture Spyro, Cynder, and Drobot within a Traptanium basketรขโฌยฆ sort of missing the point of the occasion. But what he lacks in point-getting, he more than makes up for in รขโฌลEggsellence!รขโฌย
The Bunny Earth Trap is one of the most unique Traps of the bunch and features a cute bunny-themed design.
Power Punch Pet-Vac was the greatest, most daring flying ace in all of Windham. He was given his magical wings when he was young, as was the tradition for all Air Barons. But when his homeland was raided, he chose to sacrifice his wings to a young mother so she could fly her children to safety. This act of nobility caught the attention of Master Eon, who sought out the young Air Baron and presented himรย with a gift รขโฌโ a powerful vacuum device that would allow him to soar through the skies once again. Jet-Vac accepted the gift with gratitude, and now daringly fights evil alongside the other Skylanders.
I took them out of their package andรย put them in large plastic Easter eggs… thinking they would be a fun prize for an Easter egg hunt!
In Skylanders Trap Team, you can play as a Skylander or capture Skylandsรขโฌโข most wanted foes and unleash them for good. Itรขโฌโขs up to Portal Masters to find these villains and capture them inside the new Traps that transport the villains into the real world via the Traptanium Portal. Once trapped, players can return the villain to Skylands as a playable character. This exciting new play pattern gives fans the option to switch between playing as a Skylander hero or a villain at any time, creating fun and unique รขโฌลtag teamรขโฌย gameplay.
