I don’t tell him often enough, but my husband, Rick, is the anchor in my life. I truly have the best partner and father for our child— I sometimes wonder how I got so lucky!
Rick is loving, kind, compassionate, PATIENT and always there when I need him. Even when I’m down, he somehow finds a way to make me laugh. I couldn’t ask for a better companion in life, and I’m proud that our daughter will grow up with such a devoted and supportive dad.
As a family, one of our favorite pastimes is going on cruises. We’ve been all over the world— from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean. Last summer we took a cruise to Alaska and it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. My husband loves being on the ocean, and this Father’s Day I thought I would surprise him with a very nautical gift to remind him of our trip.
For awhile now he has mentioned that he wanted to try a new cologne. I decided to check out the selection at Macy’s and came across Nautica Voyage. I admit, the name drew me in, but the scent was perfectly manly, described “For a man setting sail on his own heroic journey, capturing his adventurous spirit as he navigates his endeavors with precision and passion.”
The fragrance is a rich fusion of dewy moss and refined woody amber. I was hooked from the tester and knew right away that this was the cologne for him. In keeping with Nautica theme, I decided to upcycle an old picture frame by spray painting it white and wrapping the top and bottom with twine. I then printed a photo from our Alaskan cruise of my husband and daughter.
