Fun in the Sun Picnic with JELL-O

This post is sponsored by JELL-O brand. All opinions are my own.

We’ve officially made it to summer, and to celebrate I put together a “fun in the sun” themed picnic for my family! You may recall a few weeks back that I posted a mood board for our family get-together. At the time I didn’t know if I wanted to host my picnic at the pool or beach, but in the end I decided on the backyard. The best part was not having to go far for our afternoon of fun!

The two things I had definitely confirmed were my theme color was yellow and I was making JELL-O gelatin Sunshine Smiles for our snack. Here’s a look at some of the fun we had (and we enjoyed our day so much that we’re planning another!)

We played with water balloons, bubbles and kicked a soccer ball around. My daughter insisted on PB&J sandwiches and iced tea to drink (an interesting combo!). And of course I brought the JELL-O Gelatin Sunshine Smiles I pre-made. They ended up being a HUGE hit with my family! Here’s the recipe for you to try:

The next time I make JELL-O Sunshine Smiles, I will try different types of fruit, including lemons and melon. I love the Lemon flavored JELL-O with the Navel oranges for our picnic because the combo reminded me of the sun— bright and cheery! When it’s made with JELL-O, it’s made with love!

Thanks to JELL-O for allowing me to partner with them to create this yellow themed party! I had a blast.  Already planning to try this at home with your little ones? I’d love to hear how it goes in the comments below. For more inspiration visit: http://jello.com.
