Our Shakespeare & Stren Fishing Experience
We actually have a camping trip planned for later this month, and we’re planning to bring our new fishing combo sets along, but first my husband thought it would be good to show us how they worked at a local pond.
It was awesome for each of us to have our own set of fishing equipment. In the past, my husband would share his rod with me, but now I have one of my own … and it’s PINK! My daughter is also head over heels for her kid-sized combo. Everything was very easy to use!
My husband took the time to show our daughter how to spool the bait, as well as share some safety tips. I think fishing is some of the best family bonding time that we could have…being outdoors together with a common goal. It puts a smile on my face seeing our family work together. I love that fishing requires no technology— just a little patience — and it’s about as close to nature as you can get!
I know the memories we are making now will last a lifetime with our daughter. Hopefully she will carry-on the fishing tradition with her kids and grandkids, as my husband did, and will continue to do.
