Let’s talk summer vacation travel plans— do you have any?
We’re still tossing a few ideas around for this year’s family getaway, but I can’t help thinking back to last year’s summer vacay in Door County, Wisconsin.
Door County is not a destination you hear about often— or at least, I hadn’t heard of it until my extended family mentioned they used to spend summer vacations there.
Without much planning, we found ourselves on a plane to Milwaukee, where we rented a car and drove to Sturgeon Bay for an incredible week of family fun in Door County.
I never could have predicted how much there was to see and do in Door County—we spent much of our time outdoors hiking, swimming and being one with nature. For my family, Door County was just the vacation we needed to unwind and relax from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was a summer vacation to remember!
