We woke up early Friday morning (yes, 6:30am…thanks Jen) to get ready for the first official day of BlogHer.

While my roommates were getting their registration and breakfast I made my way over to LobbyCon.

lobbycon

It was a pretty nice setup and the live streaming that I saw was very good quality, but this was the last time I would see this place.

By 10 or 10:30 the expo floor opened and that is exactly where we headed.

Nothing like a Vodka and OJ to start my first day at BlogHer…

On the expo floor we met lots of celebrities.

Like the Michelin Man-

and Mrs. Potato Head-

There were real celebrities too like Rick Bayless from Top Chef. I lurve me some Top Chef!

While all the other BlogHer attendees were having lunch sponsored by Ragu…

(You have to admit those table centerpieces are cute!)

I had the ride of my life in the OSCAR MEYER WIENERMOBILE!!!

Prepare to be jealous!

wienermobile

Yes, I rode around the city of Chicago in the Wienermobile!

Sadly, there we no hot dogs inside the Oscar Meyer Wiernermobile, but I did get a cute shirt and guess what!? The Wiernermobile is on Twitter AND they have a Blog!

I honestly can’t remember what I did next but that evening we had a bunch of parties to attend, including Disney and Energizer (thanks Shannon…loved our couples massage).

energizer

I am not going to lie, we were not initially invited to go to the Suave/Degree party but while waiting for the EA Sports party buses to arrive, Shannon talked to the PR rep and was let on the trolley to the super exclusive Suave party at The Wit Hotel.

The thing about these exclusive parties (with exception of Nikon) is that they invited all the “top name” bloggers and then none of them showed up. This was the case for this party as we arrived I noticed all the name badges set out and I recognized almost every one of them.

Their loss.

Nonetheless, Shannon, Leigh, Jen and I had a GREAT time and sucked down a ton of cucumber mojitos. I still claim there was no alcohol in them…

The company was great, and the view was great. Thank you Suave/Degree for letting us crash your party ๐Ÿ™‚

After Suave, Jen and I made our way back to the hotel for the Resourceful Mom/Momfluence/Type A Mom party sponsored by HP.

We arrived about 1/2 hour early and there was a line out the door.

This was actually the calm before the storm. Good thing Shelley from Blog4Mom held the fort down ๐Ÿ™‚

We had a good time at this party and I met a few really nice peeps. Including Crunchy Domestic Goddess, Kingdom First Mom, and Aparna from Parentella.

That raps up Day 2, up next BlogHer Day 3.
