BlogHer09 Day 3 – Saturday

I know I am a little late with Day 3 of BlogHer, so I am just going to post a bunch of photos from the day and some quick captions.

Saturday was the final day of the convention and also the night of the much anticipated BowlHer…it really was a blast!

The day started off for me with a guest appearance by Paula Deen. Unfortunately, she was late coming into Chicago because of a delay. We literally sat there for over an hour and a half waiting, which was not fun. I love Paula Deen, so for me it was worth the wait. She has a great sense of humor and is an awesome speaker. I do have video that I am going to upload.

Paula was there to promote her new line of baked goods from Walmart.

Look at these cute sparkly shoes she had on!

After watching Paula, Jen and I went to explore the city a little and headed over to Navy Pier.

I made Jen eat her first Chicago hot dog, my second. It did not disappoint.

I also had to try a fried Twinkie as I had never had one before. I made Jen take a bite. Bye bye weight watchers points. 🙂

After lunch we went back to the hotel and got ready for the BowlHer party. We also started to sort through our swag…

I had to leave 75% of it behind. Next year I will bring an extra suitcase as there was a lot of products I actually wanted to try. The extra swag went to a good home.

So we made our way to BowlHer across the street.

Proof that I actually made it to BlogHer ’09…In real life!

An endless supply of Little Debbie cakes were on hand…

Don’t ask.

I also hung out with Katja Presnal, who is one of the nicest women in social media.

She convinced me to bowl with her.

I really suck at bowling, but I did knock a few pins down…the wine had definitely kicked in at this point.

Really it’s all downhill from here. Melanie (Modern Mami) was my photographer- don’t quit your day job 🙂

After BowlHer we were hungry. The CheeseburHer party couldn’t have come at a better time. It was packed!

and there were endless amounts of McDonald’s Cheeseburgers, Dr. Pepper, and Snapple!!

Oh dear…

Within 20 minutes of getting to the CheeseburHer it got shut down due to noise complaints. 🙁

It was probably for the best as we all had early flights the next day.

See you at BlogHer ’10 in New York City!! I can’t wait!
