If there's one thing I love, it's beauty products. I've been obsessed since I discovered the wonderful world of makeup as a teen. I admit, my makeup routine has toned down (a lot!) since I've become a parent, and my stash of eye shadows, liners, and glosses has decreased substantially since I now wear more natural palette — but I still love trying new products and never leave the house without a little mascara or a pop of lip color ... and I hope that never changes!
Burt's Bee is a brand that I have been using for what feels like forever. Whenever I travel, I never leave home without one of their moisturizing beeswax lip balms— it's seriously the best for dry lips! Needless to say, when I heard Burt's Bees was launching a new line of lipsticks at Target, I had to get my hands on at least one or two. It was a good thing I went when I did because my store was already running low on their supply, and of 14 full coverage, satin-finish shades, my Target store only had six available! I chose two fabulous colors: Suede Splash, a neutral nude, and Lily Lake, a pink-ish mauve.
Swatched right out of the tube both shades were gorgeous! There weren't any testers available at the store, so I just went by the coloring on the tube and felt like I hit the jackpot when I finally got them on my lips. Both colors complimented my fair skintone perfectly and could be worn day or night. I honestly think these shades would work on any skin color; they're so versatile!
The texture of Burt's Bees lipstick is deliciously creamy and smooth with 8-hour moisture. The entire line is made from 100% natural ingredients, including Moringa, Raspberry Seed Oil, Beeswax and Vitamin E. Moringa oil is full of essential fatty acids and helps to soften and condition skin, while Raspberry seed oil improves skin elasticity, keeping your lips feeling lovely— it's the perfect combination of color and moisture!
Now that I've tried two shades, I WANT THEM ALL! Burt's Bees lipstick has the perfect amount of pigment for everyday wear. It's not too much or too little— I've found that I'm swiping these shades on throughout the day just for their moisture. I don't need a mirror because they have the smoothness of a lip balm with the color of a lipstick. Each tube retails for $9 and is Available at Target.
Burt's Bees has more than 150 products for almost every part of your lips, hair and skin. The company mission is to make people lives better everyday, naturally — using ingredients you can spell and pronounce. This simple principle has helped them become one of the world’s leading natural personal care companies.
In addition to their new lipstick, Burt’s Bees has introduced a new BB Cream in 3 Mineral Rich Shades (Light, Medium-Light, Medium) with 9 benefits in 1 (Evens skin tone, moisturizes, protects with SPF 15, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, visibly firms, conceals, smoothes, perfects skin and illuminates).

Nice swatches, thanks! Both look great on you. They do look like the creamy type of lipstick that's short wearing. I may need something with more staying power.
