The first part of my Disney Resort Showcase - Day 2 Part 1 can be found here.
After my first round of resort tours for the day, we had a little break which gave me the opportunity to explore my resort, Saratoga Springs a little more.
One of the perks of staying at Saratoga Springs (and Port Orleans Riverside & French Quarter) is that you get ferry access to Downtown Disney.
The 6 minute boat trip was very beautiful and relaxing.
The Hanes Design-a-Tee was only a short walk from the boat dock at Downtown DIsney
I was so impressed with Disney Design-a-Tee by Hanes because this is not your ordinary customized t-shirt shop.
The concept is very simple.
You get to choose your own color, style, and size shirt (sizes range from infant to 5X)
Then you make your way to the design Station where you can fully customize your shirts with Disney graphics, phrases, or personalized message using different colors and fonts.
I designed my tee with Tinkerbell, MommyMusings.com and a Disney Dreams Come True logo 🙂
The possibilities are endless on what you can create. This would be a great first stop to get your family vacation started with matching tees, or a great souvenir at the end. Also great for those celebrating Birthdays, Weddings, Anniversaries, or practically any celebration!
While I was Designing my Shirt at Hanes Design-a-Tee, I received a special invitation to a Birthday Bash at Goofy's Candy Company.
This was a real surprise as I thought I knew just about everything Disney had to offer.
When I arrived I was informed that Goofy's Candy Company now hosts birthday parties!!! SO exciting!
2 Birthday Party packages are currently available. One is for the little princesses and is Cinderella themed, and one for the little princes, a Goofy themed Party.
The invitation above is the same as your would received if booking a boy party.
The parties last an hour and a half and include favors, treats, and games...as well as a special gift for the Birthday boy/girl.
Once the children arrive they get to choose a slushy flavor and cup (Princess, Mickey, or Stitch) and their choice of treat to create (Candy apple, Rice Krispy Mickey, Pretzel Rods, Marshmallows, or cupcake).

While I was super impressed with the cabins themselves (very clean and cozy), I definitely think that these cabins are not for everyone. If your family LOVES the wilderness and camping, this is the place for you. If you are not too excited with things outdoors (such as myself), one of the other Disney Resorts is the way to go.
After a long day of tours we were treated to some food & fun at Mickey's Backyard BBQ, located at Fort Wilderness.
This was a really fun treat where Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of the gang come out for some live singing and dancing. Everyone is invited to participate!
Please note Mickey's Backyard BBQ is a seasonal show that is offered on Thursdays and Saturdays from March through December.
Coming up Day 3 - A trip to the Spa, Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure, and "What will you Celebrate?" Dinner.
Tiffany
I just can't get over all the stuff Disney offers. Growing up in Central FL, I visited the parks but never stayed on site or took advantage of any of the extra stuff. I'm so impressed with everything you've shared.....I'll get my family there one day!!!
