What comes to mind when you think of the perfect family resort for a vacation in Mexico?
Is it all-inclusive? With ocean views? A kids area? What about room service?
Of course, who wouldn't want all these things—
In Mexico, you'll find plenty of resorts that fit the bill.
But, what if you could take it a step further and have Unlimited-Luxury?
That's exactly what I found on a recent visit to Cancun, Mexico at Dreams Riviera Cancun.
When I walked into the open-air lobby, my mouth dropped. When I was handed a glass of champagne, I thought, "this is my type of vacation".
Once I checked into my preferred room, I was met with a hot tub and an ocean view.
(First floor guest rooms with personal plunge pools are also an option for families)
And a stocked mini-fridge. With bottled Coke (!!!), water, juice and beer. Restocked daily.
And a very cool room layout.
With complimentary 24-hour room service.
Yes, I think I could get used to this!
The amenities didn't end in the room. Unlimited-Luxury is found all over the resort.
Here's what else you can expect at Dreams Riviera Cancun ... without a wristband.
Dining
There are six à la carte gourmet restaurants and a world buffet— serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
All included, without reservations.
World Café – International cuisine buffet-style.
El Patio – Delectable Mexican cuisine.
Himitsu – A fusion of Pan-Asian delicacies.
Portofino – Innovative Italian cuisine.
Oceana – Fresh seafood in seaside setting.
Seaside Grill – Steak and grilled specialties.
Bordeaux – French cuisine.
Coco Café – Coffees, teas and pastries served daily.
The food is AMAZING! A far cry from traditional all-inclusive resorts.
Beverages & Bars
Who could visit Mexico and not have a margarita or ten?
All international and domestic premium brand alcoholic beverages are included. As well as natural fruit juices and soft drinks.
Beverages are served at seven bars throughout the resort, including a swim-up pool bar and beach bar.
Children's Program
The Explorer's Club offers a complimentary, fully supervised children's program for kids ages 3-12. Daily activities include sandcastle competitions, arts and crafts, movies on the beach and Euro-bungee.
Live nightly entertainment & theme parties
Multiple pools and lounge areas
Gorgeous white-sand beach
Complimentary daytime activities
Including, snorkeling, kayaking, yoga sessions, cooking, cocktail, dance and Spanish lessons, beach volleyball and ocean trampoline.
Dreams Spa by Pevonia & Fitness Center
While the spa is not complimentary, its the perfect indulgence after a day in the sun. The outdoor hydrotherapy circuit refreshes and revitalizes. Massages, body treatments, facials, manicures, pedicures and a full service beauty salon are also available.
The complimentary fitness center features state-of-the-art equipment, including treadmills, cardio machines, stationary bikes and free weights.
And the list goes on and on...
Unlimited-Luxury is the difference between a vacation, and a great vacation. It's about the outstanding service, fabulous food, gorgeous views, extra amenities and attention to detail for every guest.
Even the little ones!
After experiencing Dreams Riviera Cancun firsthand, I am convinced this is my idea of the perfect family resort for a Mexican getaway.
Have you experienced Dreams Unlimited-Luxury?
Special thanks to Dreams Riviera Cancun and the Mexico Tourism Board for hosting my stay and visit to Mexico.

I was at DRC in March this year with two kids (1 and 3) and must agree that it is a great resort, especially for families. We can't wait to go back again!

What a great review! I love how kid friendly it was , but still you can enjoy adult things as well.

Hey!
Sounds like you had a fabulous time! All inclusive resorts in Mexico really are something else!
My uncle had his 50th birthday and stayed at Dreams as well and had a great time. It's got something for everyone - even my grandparents had fun.

Vacationed here Aug 2011, it rained all week & the entire hotel leaked! We had to change rooms because our roof was leaking, main areas of the lobby & breakfast area were closed half the time & littered with buckets to collect all of the ceiling leaks.
I know I took a risk to travel to Cancun during the rainy season but I figured that a 4 star resort would be comfortable even if I had to stay indoors. But it was awful. Stay away from this place during August.
Stayed here in March 1999 (before Dreams ownership) & thought that the property & beach were the best Cancun has to offer!

Thanks for your gorgeous images. The view from your window looks so relaxing. Cancun really looks like Paradise. I will have to remember Dreams Riviera Cancun if I travel there anytime soon with my young son.

The subsequent time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I imply, I know it was my choice to learn, however I really thought youd have something fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you could repair for those who werent too busy on the lookout for attention.
