I think Easter Egg Hunts are one of the funnest Easter activities for little kids. I know growing up, it was THE event I looked forward to the most. My mom would bring me to 3 or 4 different hunts on the Saturday before Easter. From what I remember, the prizes were a lot better back in the day, and I even remember hunting for a “Golden Egg”…today, not so much.
For the past 2 years we have only gone to 1 Easter egg hunt at a local church. Its nice enough, and it is close by.
They run their egg hunt a little differently, instead of just grabbing eggs, each child gets a sheet with 10 different colored eggs that they have to find. The older kids get to find eggs that are multicolored.
It’s fun, but not as fun as the egg hunts I used to remember.
It was nice to see that the Easter bunny was there as dd had been begging me to go to the mall to see him. We never made it, so this worked out well.
After the egg hunt they had cookie decorating, crafts, games, and face painting.
It turned out to be a fun morning, and I am glad we got up early for it…now its time to dye some eggs ๐
