Do you know what season runs from Sept-Feb? FOOTBALL SEASON!
If you’re a football fan yourself or have a significant other who’s passionate about the sport, you know that food is an essential part of every game day.
And if we really want to get down to the best food for game day it’s a dip— something that’s cheesy, creamy and easily shared with chips, crackers, pretzels or veggies.
One of our favorite dips for football season is Jalapeno Popper Dip because it checks off all the boxes for the perfect game day food. There’s cheese, bacon, green chilis, jalapenos, and a crumbly butter cracker topping...plus one secret ingredient that makes the dip extra rich and creamy.

This jalapeno popper dip is no exception when prepared with Blue Plate mayo— This game-day dip is rich, creamy and flavorful with just the right amount of spiciness.
Of course, you can up the heat level as much as you’d like with additional jalapenos. If you want a milder dip, skip the minced jalapeno all-together and just include the can of diced green chilis (we won’t tell!). Ready for the recipe?

How to Make Jalapeno Popper Dip in the Crock Pot
The recipe as written has all the ingredients baked together in the oven, however, the jalapeno popper dip with bacon can be made in the Crock Pot, though the butter cracker crust won't be crispy. Simply mix all the ingredients except the melted butter and cracker crumbs in the Crock Pot and set to low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Top with cracker mixture when ready to serve.
Can Jalapeno Popper Dip be made Keto
If you're following a low carb diet or keto lifestyle, the cracker topping can be omitted completely and served with veggies of choice.
