Did you know March is National Kidney Month? Today, a staggering 1 in 10 people have kidney disease. That’s over 26 million Americans and most do not find out until their kidney disease is advanced.

March is National Kidney Month

This is a guest post for kidney disease awareness.

The Mendez National Institute of Transplantation Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the science and practice of organ transplantation and end-stage organ disease therapies through research, education, and innovation. They created the “Get the Facts! Get Checked! Get Healthy!” PSA, starring Paul Rodriguez and Gloria Garayua, which encourages the public to learn more about kidney disease prevention and keep your kidneys healthy and happy.

Husband and wife Keenan and Jeanne Cheung have a fascinating story that we wanted to share with you:

Want to make a difference in the life of someone who is suffering from kidney disease or kidney failure? Text the word KIDNEY to 21000 where you can make a tax-deductible donation of any amount to the Mendez National Institute of Transplantation Foundation (MNITF)! Your generosity helps people like Claudia Sanchez, a kidney and pancreas recipient.
