I've had the Maytag Bravos washer/dryer pair in my home for exactly four months now. In that time, I would guess that I have washed and dried nearly 100 loads of laundry. That's pretty amazing when you think about it! I've also had to the chance to fully try out every cycle and feature on each of the appliances. Overall, I have been thoroughly impressed with the Maytag Bravos line and I can't even begin to tell you the difference between this set and my previous one -- it's like night and day!
What has impressed me the most is the abundance of features, some of which I never thought I needed ... but now I can't live without. My favorites include:
Maytag Bravos Washer
- Allergen Cycle -- getting pet hair/dander out of bedding the cats have laid on (I'm allergic!)
- Large Capacity -- ability to wash up to 21 towels in a single load
- PowerSpray Technology -- for even detergent distribution
- Cycle Modifiers -- to easily change preset settings on any cycle
- Fabric Softner cup -- can add liquid fabric softner at the beginning of cycle with laundry detergent
- Washer Lock -- automatically locks lid of washer at start of cycle
- SmoothClose -- unique hinge design allows the washer lid to close slowly
- Energy Star Qualified -- eco-friendly, saving money on water and energy
- Advanced Moisture Sensing -- drys laundry evenly, without over drying
- Auto Refresh Cycle -- uses steam to relax and refresh clothing
- Wrinkle Control -- keep clothes wrinkle-free
- Cycle Modifiers -- to easily change preset settings on any cycle
My previous set, which was not a Maytag, had very few features and they were only controlled by a knob. One of the advancements that I love on the Bravos XL is the ability to modify any of the settings with the push of a button. For instance, maybe I want a normal wash setting, but instead of being limited to only the presets, I can change the temperature of the water, spin speed and soil level to adjust whatever I'm washing. That's a smart washing machine! The same goes for the dryer. I can change the temperature and dryness level of each load based on my needs.
The only negative I have found for these machines is that they are very large. Much larger than I originally anticipated. While they fit into my laundry room fine, they are very tall. I'm only 5'0 and I have to stand on my tip-toes to get laundry out of the washer. Most people would never notice this. On the plus side, you can wash a ton of clothes in one load!
With the amount of time we spend doing laundry, and the high cost of clothing for a family, it only makes sense to invest in a washer and dryer that does more than just wash and dry laundry. By purchasing a washer/dryer set from Maytag you can be sure that you are getting the best of both worlds: the dependability that you know and love from Maytag, and the technological advances that you expect-- which both save you money in the long run.
This is the conclusion of a four month campaign where I shared my experience with the Maytag Bravos XL washer & dryer – please follow myself, along with the other #MaytagMoms, and don’t hesitate to ask any questions. You can also follow Maytag on Facebook & Twitter to keep up-to-date with the latest happenings.
I wrote this post while participating in a Maytag Moms Dependable Laundry Ambassador program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Maytag. I was provided with the Maytag washer and dryer set to facilitate my post. All opinions are my own.

Wow. One of my dream to have in my own house. I think I have seen this machine from a garage sale before but the price was still high.

I have the same new appliances and I hate them.
My dryer take 3 times the cycle to dry and my auto refresh with steam made my clothes soaking wet.
My washer leaves spots on the clothes.
Angie
I hate my Bravos Xl dryer. My clothes are always wrinkled.
Delana
Me too. My new dryer also leaves my clothes very wrinkled. I hate the thought I am stuck with this dryer for the next 10 years.

My clothes ALWAYS come out wrinkled from the dryer.. I spend so much time shaking out each item before putting it in the dryer. All the clothes just clump up and don't seperate. This happens on large and small loads. I HATE this dryer!!

I love the washer but i hate the dryer!!! I get so frustrated with the clothes being wrinkled. I put more in, I put less in, I've tried different settings, rewet the clothes, sometimes drying the same clothes 2 or 3 times. I don't know what else to do!!!!

Same , this is absolutely THE WORST washer and dryer set I have ever owned! Wish I had looked and read these comments, every single horrible thing mentioned is happening.
